Brave New World

Brave New World by Alduous Huxley. A classic novel published in 1932 exploring the loss of individuality in a futuristic, highly controlled "utopian" world social order that views independent thought and dissent by individuals as a threat to the greater good. If you haven't read it in high school or college, it is not too late to get a glimpse of what a society looks like when science and technology is used to try to create a "perfect" world without disease, pain or suffering

1984

1984 by George Orwell. A classic novel published in 1949 and set in the future during the reign of a repressive totalitarian regime. The story focuses on the life of an ordinary man, who works in a government bureaucracy falsifying records and re-writing history, until he becomes disillusioned and begins a rebellion against the system. This prophetic novel warns of the ability of unchecked technology to increase oppressive surveillance of populations by those in power within a society ("Big Brother") which results in a loss of individual privacy and liberty.

Fatal

Fatal by Michael Palmer. This best selling medical thriller author wrote this novel after hearing a speech about vaccine risks given by Barbara Loe Fisher at a Developmental Delay Resources conference in 1995. The former Emergency Room physician and the father of a son who was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome as a child, Fatal is a fast-moving story about a super-vaccine gone wrong and the cast of characters includes mothers who help stop the bad guys from winning.

The Scorpions Sting

The Scorpions Sting by Magdalena LaSige.Written under the guise of fiction, this page turning suspense novel is based on real people and exposes pharmaceutical scams related to HPV.
